MAA and the Erie County Medical Society have partnered together to provide a directory of local physicians in most medical specialties who have volunteered to serve as mentors to current medical students.
Community Physician Luncheons
Local alumni are invited to speak to the current medical students about their specialty and how they achieve balance between professional responsibilities and family/friends/hobbies. Students have an opportunity to ask questions.

Student Clinician Ceremony
MAA provides Maxwell "Clinical" Reference books for the third year class as they enter their clinical years of medical school.
Match Day
MAA supports the fourth-year class on this very important day, when seniors find out where they have been accepted to residency.
Graduation
MAA President attends Graduation Day and shares this special day with the fourth-year medical class.
Polity Medical Student Government
The President of Polity is invited as a guest to all MAA Board Meetings. The MAA each year supports the yearbook with an advertisement.
The Practice Giving Campaign
This is a multi-year effort to raise $1.25 million for the Medical Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund, the largest fundraising initiative ever undertaken by the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and its alumni.
Parents' Council Dinner Dance
MAA attends and supports this annual spring dinner dance for the fourth-year class and their families. This dance is provided by the parent volunteers of the medical school. The main goal of the Parents' Council is to "assist toward contributing to the quality of developing a professional life for our medical students." The MAA sponsors the band at the Parents' Council Dinner Dance.
